For a character as long-lived and iconic as James Bond, you would think that there'd be more rivalry among the men who have played him. Each actor who's inhabited the role of 007 probably thinks the unique elements they brought to the franchise made him the best, but apparently, that isn't the case.
Roger Moore may not have been the first James Bond, but for a long time he was the man associated with the job. He has starred in the most official 007 films (seven), as Sean Connery was only in six and the non-EON production Never Say Never Again. What's more, he held the role for the longest stretch -- 12 years.
The point is that he could be forgiven for saying he was the best Bond. Some of the movies made during his run, including Live and Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me and Octopussy, are classics of the series. Yet according to Zap2It, he recently proclaimed Daniel Craig the best Bond there ever was after seeing Skyfall. He was as big a fan of the film as critics and audiences apparently are, even going so far as to say that the latest movie in the series guarantees at least 50 more years of James Bond films.
