With ten years of post-reunion career behind them, it’s about time Mission of Burma get a new best of album. The post-punk pioneers have announced plans for their career-spanning second compilation (the first being 2004’s Accomplished: The Best of Mission of Burma). Entitled Learn How: The Essential Mission of Burma, the new album will include two discs, the first compiling the band’s ’79-’83 run and the second pulling from their four albums since reuniting in 2002.
If that wasn’t enough Mission of Burma goodness, the band is also heading out on a pretty extensive world tour later this month. Starting with a set at ATP in England on Nov. 30, the jaunt will last six weeks and take the boys around Europe and then to the U.S. for dates in New York and Cambridge, Massachusetts on Jan. 18 and 19 respectively.
