As part of Yours Truly's Scratch Sessions series, rising rapper Angel Haze recently teamed up with Montreal producer Lunice to do just that--create a song from the ground up. Below you can see footage from the making of their result, "Gimme That," where you'll also get some insight into how both artists go about creating.
Haze, for instance, really prizes versatility and open-mindedness in a producer: "It's not always about producer wants this and artist wants this. If you can come together and collaborate then you're my kind of producer." The full version of "Gimme" will drop tomorrow, but you can get a glimpse into its creation below. Plus, Lunice shows off some of his b-boy moves at the video's start.
