Edmonton elctric-pop duo Purity Ring has taken Lady Gaga's latest anthem, "Applause", and scaled it down for a more intimate, omninous approach. Corrin Roddick of Purity Ring spoke with Dazed Digital about the producing the remix, "It’s such a challenge, not only to take a song that’s been so immaculately produced and try and put our spin on it, but also to even tread in that territory.
The remix is set to appear on the upcoming Applause Remix EP due out on October 1. In the interview with Dazed, Roddick also updated us on the current state of Purity Ring projects."We're working on a new record, which is going slow, but it’s going good," Corrin said. "I've been producing for some hip-hop artists and singers, and I've worked with Evian Christ too."
