Trevor Powers has teased the followup to 2011's lauded The Year of Hibernation with a brand new track off Wondrous Bughouse. "Dropla" kicks off with a spritelier beat than we're used to hearing from the often melancholic Youth Lagoon as Powers's vocals peek out from their typical shroud. While the earnest build and idiosyncratic chirps that make Youth Lagoon so loveable are present and accounted for, the song exhibits a richer, fuller spectrum of sound that's got us twitching to hear the new record.
