It may be winter time, but it’s never too late to fantasize about warm sandy beaches and sitting down on a beach chair while the sun’s rays give you a nice toasting. Listening to Gospel Claws’ “Looming Darkness” will paint that picture for you effortlessly. The Tempe, Arizona band produced a track full of reverbed harmonies and simple melodies that makes it more than infectious enough to make your head nod and dream. And while the jangling guitar lines and booming percussion marches along, you’re whisked away by Joel Marquard’s soothing vocals.
