Garbage's Shirley Manson Tweets "F--k Off" And "Blow Me" In Response to Fan Criticism

Garbage's Shirley Manson is mad and she took to Twitter to vent her 140-character sized rage. So who is responsible for offending the queen of dark matter and pithy social networking platforms? Journalists? Haters? Journalist haters?

That would be her own fans.

Following a show at Koln's E-werk venue on Monday, Manson made a seemingly mild albeit slightly prodding tweet about her audience's energy level: "Koln you were so strangely subdued! Sold out show but so cold? Funny. I know you love us but why couldn't you show it? We still love you. Sx." This promptly launched a flurry of responses from a few prickled German fans that did not take kindly to being called "cold" (poor choice of words, perhaps).

Manson reacted in a less eloquent, more direct way. The tweets have since been deleted, but the full conversation is preserved over at NME.

Just last month someone hacked Garbage's Twitter account pretending to be a drunk Shirley Manson (among other nonsensical tweets, drunk "Shirley" posted lyrics from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song). While the current tweets read like a trolling teenager's ALL CAPS style, nothing further has been mentioned regarding the Koln show, so we can only assume this was not another case of "drunk Shirley".
