Jason Schwartzman, the ex-drummer of Phantom Planet and sole member of his solo project Coconut Records, is also well known as an actor who's been in such films as Slackers and Funny People but originally made his film debut in Wes Anderson's Rushmore where he played the lead role of Max Fischer. Schwartzman went on to starring and voice acting in Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited, animated feature Fantastic Mr. Fox and most recently a smaller part in Anderson's seventh directorial effort, Moonrise Kingdom. It's safe to assume that Jason Schwartzman's acting has impressed Anderson as it fits his storylines and visual themes impeccably.
Once again joining forces, Schwartzman has confirmed that he will be a part of the cast for Anderson's forthcoming "Euro film" The Grand Budapest Hotel alongside other confirmed actors Jude Law, Ralph Fiennes, Bill Murray and Angela Lansbury. Some talents that are still rumored and yet to have their involvement confirmed are previous Anderson collaborators Jeff Goldblum, Owen Wilson, Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe and Adrien Brody.
