On January 15, Matador Records will put out Fade, album number thirteen from the immortal indie rock gods Yo La Tengo. They recorded the LP with John McEntire of Tortoise, so we can probably all expect some epic-sounding stuff.
Sure enough, today comes Fade's first taste in the form of the video for "Before We Run." Ending the album on defiantly triumphant note, the song also soundtracks the mysterious clip below. Emily Hubley directs (she's worked with the band in the past on other projects), and the video seems to mirror the album's tree-centered art. Watch it below.
