James Dewitt Yancey aka Jay Dee aka J Dilla was one of the most influential icons to come out of the hip hop industry. He's worked with artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, MF Doom, Common, Erykah Badu, De La Soul, MF Doom, and many many others. Yancey passed away in 2006 from thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. But that's not to say he hasn't left a lasting effect on music. Recently, Australia's rising super producer Ta-ku has droped an ode to the late icon.
The album will be released officially on vinyl by HW&W Records.
