Chvrches appear to have carried their restlessness into the new year. Broadening their sonic scope even more, they covered Jannelle Monáe's hit "Tightrope" at the "Women in Music" event. A redux of a recent hit is hard enough to pull off, let alone live and with the original artist in attendance. With some stellar guitar work and sparse, somber synth tones, its fair to say the 'chvrchification' of this track went well.
