It took 2 hours and 37 minutes for tickets at this years Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival to sell out. Tickets went on sale at 10:00am PST this morning, and were sold out by 12:37. The festival has been happening every year since 1999, and the previous record for selling out was 2 hours and 57 minutes, in 2012. Last years festival took 21 hours.
As is the case every year, with every big festival, there were lots of people critical of the lineup that was announced on January 9, but the promise of Outkast, Arcade Fire, Muse and others were clearly enough for music fans around the world.
The festival will be taking place over two weekends this April in Indio, California, and if you were hoping to go, there are still some options. "4 Person Tent and General Admission Packages" are available, starting at $2900.
