Arguably two of the biggest artists to come out of 2013 were James Blake and Chance The Rapper. Blake's second studio album, Overgrown, won the Mercury Prize and has led him to be nominated for Best New Artist at this years Grammy Awards. For Chance The Rapper, he released his second mixtape, Acid Rap, which was featured on pretty much every "Album of the Year" list that was made at the end of 2013.
Listening to James Blake and Chance The Rapper, a connection is not easy to make between the two artists, but when they released a remix to Blake's "Life Round Here," the English singer and Chicago MC showed they complimented eachother very well. Now, it appears that the friends will be moving into a house in Los Angeles this year.
Chance, in an interview with NME, said that "we're probably going to make a bunch of shit every day....We're getting a compound so we figure we might invite people round to the crib to make some music in the house, and then kick them out and bring in some new people."
It isn't just making music that Chance is excited about though. The only house he has ever lived at is his parents. "It will probably be like being on a vacation for the first couple of months. Then I'll start figuing out what kind of music I'll be making."
