Pianist, electronic musician, and post-classical/indie-classical composer Max Richter will be getting the deluxe treatment for his debut album this month. Memoryhouse, released 12-years ago on the now defunct Late Junction label, will be given the works by FatCat's 130701 imprint.
The deluxe edition will be a double vinyl printed on 180-gram vinyl with gatefold sleeves for extended artwork. There will also be a limited edition printed on colored vinyl. The album will be released sometime in January and is available for pre-order now.
In celebration of this, Richter will be performing Memoryhouse for the first time live with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, André de Ridder conducting. This special performance will take place on January 24 at Barbican Hall in London. Hear a little bit of Memoryhouse below.
