Smart phones have truly changed how a live concert, act, DJ performance is cerebrally taken in. No longer are the days of just dancing along and or just fist pumping. Instead, most live events are now covered with smart phones waved in the air or a plethora of selfies are taken every second. But Toronto-based DJ/producer Deadmau5 has had it with these "fans." So much so that at his last gig at Miami's infamous dance nightclub Mansion - he vented out his anger via social media and vowed never to come back.
On his subscription-based website he posted:
I fucking reamed out my agent for making me deal with that... Putting fans in the back and trust fund kids up front is fucking stupid as fuck... won’t be playing any more Miami club... I’d rather rent a venue / parking lot / beachfront and fuckin’ do it right.
Then he tweeted:
Lol at the entire front row glued to their fucking phones. Much party. Many text. Wow
