On this day of indulgence and gathering of family members in the US, the rest of the world is still rushing to post the latest "news" in the blogosphere. The stunning track from England's Childhood "Pinballs", would have probably escaped my attention, had I been indulging in the Thanksgiving tradition. The London-based quartet's dreamy psychedelic pop serpentined space-out shoegaze piece puts most songs described as "cinematic" to shame. Clocking in at almost seven-minutes, "Pinballs" is a cosmic rollercoaster ride where fear, elation, and beauty of the unknown amalgamates for a supernova experience that is simultaneously nostalgic and premonitory.
"Pinballs" 7' single will be released on January 13, 2014 via Speedy Wunderground. Childhood is currently on their final week of tour with Palma Violets.
