Los Angeles singer/songwriter, Nedelle Torrisi, has toured with Sufjan Stevens, been in a band with Chris Cohen under the moniker of Cryptacize, and has released several solo records. But it wasn't till September 3 of this year that saw Nedelle embracing her full name with the release of her self-titled LP. The 12-track record is the result of an organic collaboration with Kenny Gilmore of Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti (who produced and played the majority of the instruments) that blossomed while living in the same house. Torrisi's satin vocals caress and tease on her romantic pop songs, spiced with some jazz and soul. In the video for "Can't Wait", director Forrest Borie playfully captures the future social worker and love advice columnist in a comical and sexy choreographed dialogue with her co-star.
