Well, this was certainly a surprise. After an "unauthorized and unfinished" version of the "Black Skinhead" video surfaced, footage of Kanye West's unreleased HBO pilot emerged on the Internet. West previously inked a deal with the network in 2008.
Apparently the GOOD Music frontman signed on to do a comedy show with the network, but Curb Your Enthusiasm producer Larry Charles revealed it was "too hardcore" for HBO. Footage from the pilot episode was uploaded recently as a reel on YouTube by actress Alison Quinn. The show will join Kid Cudi's HBO series How To Make It In America on the shelf, though it wouldn't be a surprise if the network revisited a show idea with West. [CoS]
