Sure, Florida may be known for its bath salts attacks and other strange media shocking news – but Florida’s had quite a budding music scene for quite some time. And one of those artists that have broken out of the mold has been Fort Lauderdale bedroom recording artist Millionyoung.
After a string of his EPs had hit big, he rode on what was called the chillwave. Yes, a wave of artists who such as Toro y Moi, Washed Out and Beach House who had a similar liking to really chill electronic and pop productions. And now he’s back with his new album Variable that although doesn’t stray too far away from what he did with his debut album Replicants, but builds further on his production skills. The songs are airy, relaxing, and completely dreamy.
The artist will be part of Consequence of Sound’s Block X Block Music Festival on April 20.
