Pitchfork.tv and La Blogothèque have teamed up with the folks at Converse to create a new series of Take Away Shows filmed during Pitchfork Music Festival Paris. The series features acoustic performances shot in unexpected locations throughout the city of lights—like say an abandoned bus covered in graffiti and drenched in sunlight.
The series includes The Walkmen performing "We Can't Be Beat," Jessie Ware's "Running," and now a lively rendition of "Stay Useless" from Cloud Nothings. Usually music and public transit are a bad combination (high probability of bucket drumming and crazy people) but this rendition is bright, alive, and free of any apocalyptic rants. Stay tuned for How to Dress Well on Nov. 21 and DIIV on Nov. 23. You can watch all of the videos here. Vive La France.
