Eclectic Brooklynites Dirty Projectors stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman last night to perform Swing Lo Magellan highlight and the title track from their recent EP “About To Die.” Joined by critically acclaimed New York classical revivalists and frequent indie collaborators yMusic on strings, the famously well-rehearsed group lived up to their reputation, interweaving complex harmonies, sparse guitar and plucked strings to create a network television-friendly, melodic pop song. To cap the performance off, the band was joined onstage by Letterman and a shirtless man. Whatever gets the ratings, guys.
