Following a delay brought on by Hurricane Sandy, Heems of Das Racist is finally able to unleash his own flood with the release of Wild Water Kingdom today. The mixtape--Heems' second solo effort over a span of about 10 months--comes after his excellently received debut, Nehru Jackets.
But where Jackets was entirely produced by Mike Finito, Kingdom sees Heems collaborating with numerous beat makers, notably Keyboard Kid, Beautiful Lou, Harry Fraud, Steel Tipped Dove and more. There are also no features from his DR bandmates Kool A.D. and Dapwell, though newer Greedhead artists LE1F and Safe contribute production and vocals respectively.
You've heard a handful of its songs--most recently "Soup Boys"--but now it's finally out. Download your very own copy of Wild Water Kingdom below. Also, at 4 P.M. EST, Heems will take to Reddit for a two-hour ask-me-anything session.
