
David Letterman has been on the air for a long time, and he's developed a lot of funny bits over the years. He's spent time dropping things out of windows, sharing dumb pet tricks and goofing around with sidekick and band leader Paul Shaffer.
However, when the history books are written and all is said and done, the most beloved routine of his may be the top ten list. Lots of actors, musicians, sports stars and even politicians have delivered their top ten answers to some question over the years, but this week marked new territory for the bit -- cartoons.
As you can see below, Simpson patriarch (and doughnut enthusiast) Homer J. Simpson stopped by New York to deliver his top ten reasons he's proud to be an American. Some of them are valid, such as the fact that the U.S. is the only country to leave trash on the moon, while others are suspect. Should we be proud that we've won every Super Bowl?
