Alfred Hitchcock is one of the more interesting characters in film history. For a generally milquetoast older Englishman, he certainly made pretty racy and psychologically demented movies. Characters frequently murdered one another, plotted violence, fought to the death and basically had their lives ruined. Therefore, it's interesting to learn about the life of a man who brought all of these things to the screen -- especially during a time when sex and violence weren't as common in movies.
Thankfully, we have Sacha Gervasi's upcoming semi-biopic Hitchcock to give us some instight into the mind of the master of suspense himself. The movie, which hits theaters on November 23, essentially covers the period of time during which the classic Psycho was planned, filmed and released.
