Daniel Day-Lewis is already the recipient of tremendous acclaim for his portrayal of American president Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg's epic political drama Lincoln. BAFTA, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, has wasted no time in making this acclaim official. Day-Lewis was recently honored with the Stanley Kubrick Award for Excellence in Film, but it was acceptance speech that may have been his best performance of the year.
Watch the hilarious video below (via Business Insider) to see the gifted thespian take a moment to be silly by aping Clint Eastwood's performance at the Republican National Convention earlier this year. Fortunately for the newly reelected president, Day-Lewis is apparently a big fan and went quite a bit easier on his invisible doppelganger in the chair next to him onstage. Also take note of the fact that apparently, 'Eastwooding' is now a real word.
