Jason Lytle's new solo record may span tall mountains and vast deserts, but its songs sound equally at home performed in a quiet, cluttered music library. The former Grandaddy frontman is the latest artist to serenade NPR's tiny desk for All Songs Considered. Armed only with an antique drum-spouting Korg and a beautiful acoustic guitar, Lytle takes on Dept of Disappearance highlights "Willow Wand" and "Get Up and Go," as well as heartbreaking Sophtware Slump classic "Jed the Humanoid."
