If there's one television show most kids born in the late '80s and early '90s could get behind, it was Boy Meets World. Throughout its seven years on the air, the show followed the life of Cory Matthews (Ben Savage), Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel) and Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong), from their time in junior high through college. Met with critical acclaim, the show was a staple in popular culture and current syndication still plays to high ratings.
Now 12 years since the show's conclusion, it's reported that Disney, the current rights owners to Boy Meets World, is in talks with the show's former executive producer Michael Jacobs about developing a spin-off that would follow the life of Cory and Topanga's teenage daughter. Tentatively titled Girl Meets World, it's unclear whether or not Savage and Lawrence will play their daughters parents, or if Rider will make any appearances with kids of his own, but one can only hope that Mr. Feeny returns (William Daniels).
