Chloe Sevigny Says Things 'Get Worse' For Shelley On 'American Horror Story'

If you've been watching this season of American Horror Story, you've realized that the show doesn't hold back on the crazy plot twists and campy storylines. Last night, nymphomaniac Shelley (Chloe Sevigny) ended the episode ... missing a couple of things, thanks to the evil Dr. Arden (James Cromwell). According to Sevigny, things will only "get worse" for her character.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sevigny has revealed a few vague hints about the future of her character. Among them is the fact that Shelley's "disadvantage is only increased, and she gets more and more helpless." She adds that the show is "one of the heaviest things I've done." That says a lot coming from someone whose resume doesn't exactly feature a lot of rom-coms.

Sevigny also reveals that her storyline started to require "four hours of prosthetic makeup." Sounds creepy.

It looks like viewers will also be surprised by which characters feel for her and who seems to ignore her absence. According to Sevigny, her escape partners, Kit, Grace and Lana, will barely notice she's missing, but viewers will "be surprised at who is looking out for her and concerned about her." On a show which has already turned Sister Jude (Jessica Lange) from merciless to somewhat sympathetic, and made innocent Sister Mary Eunice (Lily Rabe) demon-possessed, that doesn't sound like a shocking twist.

American Horror Story airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
