Portland's electronic duo Shadows On Stars also has a penchant attraction to the recent surge of love for '90s R&B. They took Aaliyah's classic hit single "Are You That Somebody?" and turned it into an aural electronic experience. With hazy synths, a downbeat groove, and some warped vocals, the cover still retains all of the sexiness that original flowered with. But the two were still able to inject enough of their own style to keep it sounding original.
The original version of the song was released in 1998 and recorded for the Dr. Dolittle soundtrack.
