The New York subway station: not just a makeshift venue for overly enthusiastic bucket drumming and Jews for Jesus campaigners. Grammy award winner (and General Hospital alum) Rick Springfield delighted morning commuters with an impromptu three-song set in, yes, the bowels of New York City. Watch a clip of him performing his 80s hit "Jessie's Girl" below. Would this be considered a "come back" tour? [TMZ]
Update: Springfield's Songs for the End of the World was released on Tuesday, and apparently this "impromptu" performance was part of the promotional push (the date, time, and location were revealed on his Facebook page). Also worth mentioning is the insane website for the new album, which must be seen to be believed (but it's exactly what you'd imagine a 63-year-old guy would do with 21st century technology).
