"Clockworkin'" (Video)

With their new full-length Freddie Merkury set to drop February 4, Brooklyn duo Weekend Money have just unveiled the visuals for "Clockworkin'." Riffing on '50s classic "Rock Around The Clock," NE$$ goes in over a crazed Baghdaddy 12-bar. "We getting guap," he raps of the grind in New York City, "we getting guap, around the clock tonight."

This video takes the song's content very literally and gives a highly stylised look at the hours NE$$ puts in. There is a huge roll call of rap game cameos, each stopping by to see what the duo are moving. And it's not what you think. Heems, for instance, walks away with a large model dog, and the ever shirtless Lakutis bags himself a bunch of rubber ducks.

This video, like much of the duo's output, sucessfully treads the line between clever pastiche and gritty reality. Hopefully the rest of Freddie Merkury can sustain this same quality.

Watch "Clockworkin'" below. Freddie Merkury is out on Greedhead February 4, and if you are still sleeping on 2012's Naked City we strongly recommend listening to it.
