Cloud Nothings' 2012 effort, Attack On Memory, was a whirlwind of post-punk and catchy indie rock tunes that all sounded attacking and angry. The title is a perfect summation of the album's mood and theme. Soul-crunching and head-banging, we've been patiently awaiting new material from the band led by Dylan Baldi.
And now we have it.
"I'm Not Part Of Me" is a much, much lighter/accessible tune. Thundering off like a catchy garage rock tune, this lead single from the upcoming Here And Nowhere Else is the last track. The album will drop on April 1 on Carpark & Mom+Pop. The song itself is a perfect representation of Baldi's statements of "I just made stuff that made me happy" and "I had nothing to be angry about."
