While fans of Andrè 3000 and Big Boi have had a lot to celebrate these past couple weeks, the promise of a new album coming out is something that is not looking as likely as it did a few days ago.
The internet was buzzing when Outkast's former manager, Queen Latifah, implied that the duo were working on new material to go along with the 40+ reunion tour they will be embarking on this year. Latifah has back tracked on her previous comments, posting on twitter today: "the rumor mill says that I predicted an Outkast album... except I didn't," she wrote. "Sorry to get twitter in a flutter."
To be honest though, Outkast have a discography that is full of songs that people would love to hear. From their debut album, 20 years ago, to their latest release, Idlewild, they have more than enough ammo to put on a killer show. And that has to be some consolation.
