Jazz piano legend Herbie Hancock has been announced as the 2014 Harvard Professor of Poetry, according to Rolling Stone. It's a post held by such legendary figures as T.S. Hancock told BBC Radio 5 that his lectures would "be mainly talking about my own experience and give [the students] some stories." He continued that there will be lecutres about Buddhism  and creativity (he's been a Buddhist for the better part of the last four decades), cultural abassadorship, the wisdom of Miles Davis, and much more.

This will be Hancock's second go as a professor. He's also won 15 Grammys, an Oscar, and the Kennedy Center Honors Award, as well as recording on countless legendary reords and being a UNESCO ambassador for the United Nations.
