If I could have it my way, new year would always mean new Jicks album. And while we haven't heard much from Malkmus & Co. since 2011, their latest effort, Wig Out at Jagbags, is scheduled for a January 7 release via Matador. This week though, you can stream it in full on Amazon (who also accept pre-orders of the album). As Pitchfork reports, Malkmus and his family are now back in Portland from Berlin, but the record was partially inspired by the musician's two-year stint in the German capital. It also features vocals from Travis' Fran Healy, another recent Berlin transplant himself.
