On Valentine's Day, February 14, Starbucks will be releasing a compilation of love stong covers titled Sweetheart 14. The album, sub-titled "Our Favorite Artists Play Their Favorite Love Songs," will feature contributions from Fiona Apple, Jim James, Phosphorescent, Vampire Weekend, and others.
Below you can preview a track with Beck doing a breathy, sparse cover of John Lennon's "Love." We've also got Jim James' cover of Bob Marley's "Turn Your Lights Down Low," released a little while back, available for a spin below.
The album will be released through Starbucks' Hear Music label and you'll be able to pick up a digital version from the usual suspects, but the physical version will only be available at Starbucks locations.
Beck will be releasing a new album in February as well. It's titled Morning Phases and will be released by Capitol.
