It seems that nearly every album in the digital age gets leaked prior to their released date. Album dates are moved up, streams of the projects are released early, but it is rare that an artist purposefully leaks their album against their labels wishes. That is exactly what up-and-coming rapper Angel Haze did this past week.
Angel Haze dropped her abut album Dirty Gold this past week without the consent of her label, Island/Republic Records. After several angry tweets towards her label she dropped a soundcloud link featuring several releases off the project. The debut now has an official release date of Dec. 30. Watch as Angel Haze explains her decision to go against her label and release the album. Many have aruged this was simply a publicity stunt. You be the judge.
