Asheville, North Carolina's Moogfest, a festival "dedicated to the synthesis of technology, art, and music," has announced it's 2014 lineup. With Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, Chic (with Nile Rodgers), and Laurie Anderson headlining, the theme of the upcoming edition seems to fall along the lines of "let's get some of the most influential people in 1970's music together and see what happens."
Besides the four innovators, Moogfest (which takes place April 23-27 in multiple venues across Bob Moog's last city of residence) will host a number of young and established electronic acts, including Darkstar, Dan Deacon, RJD2, Gaslamp Killer, Chaz Bundick's side-project Les Sins, Daedalus, and many others. Guests will also have a chance to take part in assorted conferences, lectures, and label showcases.
