Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor aka Lorde, the 17-year-old New Zealander has had one of the year. Her song "Royals" shot her through the roof on the Billboard charts, and has placed her amongst elite when it comes to contemporary pop music. So before she ends the year, she's giving the fans one more. Her new song "New Better" is minimalistic and quite poppy. She's almost rapping a la M.I.A.-esque over the drum machine beats and synths.
