After releasing American Degenerate, the New York rapper Sam Siegel has returned with visuals for “Runnin’ It.” The song is an anthem for uptown Manhattan and the Bronx, the rapper’s current fighting grounds. “They can’t distinguish whether or not I’m speaking English/ I can spend the rest of my life riding that 1 Train to Kingsbridge.” Although I personally would have loved to have seen the visuals show-off prominent locals of uptown, the producer Nick Todaro and director Christian Tello create a crisp illustration of Sam Siegel’s partying persona while emphasizing the blurred streetlights sprinkled throughout New York City.
