Back with a second video from his support-garnering mixtape NewWavey is Chicago’s Kit. This time it’s “Cloud On My Mind,” a track lifted from the back half of the mixtape that features The-Drum half Jeremiah Meece (who hops the board for vocal contribution on this particular track) and is produced by The GTW, a.k.a. James King who is a constituent of R&B sextet JODY, but also just released a stellar tune with newcomer vocalist Dre Green. All dudes involved do pretty much anything, and they’re no stranger to each other by now. A recent interview with Noisey makes clear the stylistic similarities we've noted between the genre-bending R&B work of these Chicago artists and that of, for instance, Kelela of electronic outfit Fade to Mind.
