Rioux has come a long way since his first recording experiment with a 4-track tape deck at the age of 13 . Now in mid-twenties, the Brooklyn-based electronic producer is releasing his second EP of 2013 today. Supersymmetry marks the debut on Rioux's own label Connect - the namesake of his party series launched on October 2012 at Le Poisson Rouge in New York. On the latest exploration, Rioux delves deep into the psyche, experimenting with incongruent elements to coax the listener into a hypnotic voyage, where the ultimate question is, "Who am I/are you?". The multi-media artist also directed the music video for "Supersymmetry", confronting the viewer with agitated fragments of broadcast programs that bombard us everyday.
The title track on Supersymmetry is accompanied by the more subdued but no less hallucinatory "Hologram I" And "Hologram II". We have the exclusive premiere of the EP below. Supersymmetry is also available via Italian label Bad Panda Records.
