The Glitch Mob's Justin Boreta Debuts New Track Inspired By Trip To Ethiopia

Last night, an intimate group gathered in Beverly Hills to celebrate a collaboration between The Glitch Mob's Justin Boreta, Soma Water and Charity: Water. Earlier this year, the electronic musician and the two organizations ventured to Ethiopia with a goal to help villages throughout the country gain access to clean drinking water.

Boreta's role during the exursion was to portray the transformation from struggle to triumph through music. He dutifully collected found sounds during the trip and masterfully stitched them together with soaring, smooth beats. The end result is "Honey Heart," an up-lifting, inspired instrumental track. Listen to the song below, and download it here. Each download donates to Charity: Water.

After adequate mingling time, Boreta and Soma CEO Mike Del Ponte herded their guests to a viewing room, eager to share both the track and the story behind it. Before treating the group to a listening party, the duo screened a "behind the scenes" video documenting the trip and making of "Honey Heart."

"The trip changed my life," Boreta admitted before rolling the clip. With bright eyes mirroring his authenticity, he pressed play, and for the next two minutes every person in attendance sat silently inspired by the footage. After the viewing/listening powwow, the party moved outside where Boreta DJed to a full house. Watch the "Honey Heart Creation" video  check out photos from the event below.
