He didn’t beat the game to it, but Raekwon from the Wu-Tang Clan gets in his verses in the Drake, Jay Z featured “Pound Cake” a la “Marble Cake.” Adding in some of Ghostface Killah’s verses from “Glaciers of Ice” and changing Jay Z’s “Cake” repetition to “Goretex/Tecs” instead, the rapper’s freestyle can truly be seen as a testament to his experience in the hip hop universe. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with loving yourself for having influenced generations of hip hop artists.
