While it’s the label’s esteem in this instance which prompted me to agree with an EP—before even listening—from a producer who is variably under the radar, Postcript remains to be a pleasurable effort from Policy for glowing LA house imprint 100% Silk. Though hardware use from the New York producer in the contruction of most of the tracks is explicit, the EP plays along entwined in influences of jazz and funk: colorful, anterior movements of synths and grooving b-lines combine with the strict drums to form something feeling nostalgic and imaginative at once.
