Veridian Dynamics is a messed-up place. The idiosyncratic hip-hop producer/rapper Castle put this track on his latest album Gasface, which came out on July 23 this year. "Orientation" features 45 seconds of a fake advertisement of Veridian Dynamics, and after the ad, Castle dives into a narrative that is darkly humorous and easily one of the better stories of the past few months in hip-hop. Touching on jobs and their soul-sucking counterparts, Castle flows between characters - the boss, the workers, and himself - and finely writes a fluid rhythm to his jazzy, chill beat.
