With The 20/20 Experience Part 2 due out Sept. 30, it seems Justin Timberlake Season has returned before it even had time to leave.
Last night, Justin headlined the second night of the iHeart Music Festival where he premiered two new songs, "True Blood" and "Only When I Walk Away."
With a title like "True Blood" and its seductive and slightly scary lyrics, Timberlake seems to be consciously evoking images of the HBO show. That said, since "Take Back The Night", listeners should be aware of the inner-MJ that JT also seems to be awakening.
Notice those horror-film voices panting behind the blaring horns. One can't help but picture a possible undead-themed music video for this one down the line. Is Justin brave enough to wear a red leather jacket? Is "True Blood" the 2013 version of "Thriller"?
