It's hard to believe The Body are just a duo when you hear their crushing songs, leveled as a wall of noise full of panic-striken screams buried under mound of distortion. Their sound is about as dark as metal can get. I've heard some amazing sub-genre classifications for The Body as writers attempt to define exactly what it is they're doing. I won't try to outdo anyone with a creative sub-classification for their compositions that are equally avant-garde noise, sludge, electronic, post-rock... The Body are The Body.
"To Attempt Openness" is a track from their forthcoming album Christs, Redeemers. On it they are accompanied, as they have been many times before, by the Assembly of Light Choir. It's a promising glimpse into their second release of 2013.
