Real Estate frontman Matt Mondanile is set to release a new EP titled Wish Hotel under his side project Ducktails on October 22. The five-track EP will serve as the follow up to The Flower Lane which was released this January. Wish Hotel finds Mondanile working with his frequent collaborator Al Carlson to focus on the finer things in life: "travel, love, and longings."
To make the wait a little more manageable, he has released a new psychedelic pop gem titled "Honey Tiger Eyes." While it finds Ducktails hopping on the psych-pop band wagon, it still has those indulging psychedelic tropes: swirling guitar melodies that melt over a kaleidoscopic run of organs and sluggish harmonies.
