On "Miles, Miles, Miles", Kansas City native, Kevin Morby, exudes the soul of what Midwestern Americana would sound like. Using the staple of indie rock instrumentation, Morby's song creates a panorama of endless cornfields gently flickering in a harvest sunset, trying to elongate the fading memories of the summer. Yet, the ode is one of eight tracks included in his forthcoming LP, Harlem River, quoted as "an homage to New York City" - Morby's residence of the past five years. Also the singer/guitarist for The Babies and the bassist for Woods, Kevin Morby sure sounds as if he has many miles left on his music making machine.
